Thyroid Cancer

Every year in the United States, over 50,000 people are diagnosed with thyroid cancer. A large majority of them are women. Due to the advancement of technology, thyroid ultrasounds can detect the cancer early so that patients may begin treatment sooner than later.

There are four types of thyroid cancer: papillary thyroid cancer, follicular thyroid cancer, anaplastic thyroid cancer, and medullary thyroid cancer. The symptoms of thyroid cancer can include swollen lymph nodes, enlarged thyroid glands, hoarse voice, coughing, lumps on the neck, and neck and throat pain.

Traditional and conventional thyroid cancer treatments may include surgery, chemotherapy, and different forms of radiation therapy as well.

The issue with the treatment methods presented above is that it suppresses the immune system and can cause a lot of pain due to that. The immune system has to fight even harder when the body is undergoing harsh treatments from radiation therapy. The patient begins to feel stressed because their quality of life isn't the same anymore. They may require extra assistance and this can cause them to feel like a burden to others and become depressed as a result. At the end of the day, their immune system has to fight the battle alone.

Nowadays, more people are open to alternative treatment which uses a holistic approach to kill the cancer without suppressing the immune system. There have been numerous patients that have overcome lymphoma by taking advantage of alternative treatment as opposed to harsh conventional methodologies.

An alternative approach involves using different modalities to eliminate cancer while maintaining a balanced immune system function. Some treatment methods may include heat and oxygen therapy depending on the individual's needs.

The objective of alternative treatments is to boost the immune system function while killing the cancer at the same time. This has the ability to better improve the person’s life and treat the cancer with a high success rate.
